Phonoptics develops and marketed a new measurement solution in hostile environments: temperature control, pressure control, vibration measurement or acoustic analysis, but it can also design new sensors on demand to match the customer's exact expectations. Indeed, Phonoptics has the knowledge and means to be able to develop new custom sensor. New patented technology based on a single fiber unlike our concurrente who need two. As a result the sensors are more simple, cheaper and robust.


Finally, our sensors are resistant to high temperatures, 1500°C. The microphone are a flagship elements in Phonoptics adaptable to all environments such as:    

Pressure sensors for the aviation market

Pressure measurement, monitoring of engines and metal parts. 

key benefits: EMI/RFI insensitive, resistant to temperatures above 150°C and -50°C moisture insensitive, miniature and lightweight. We are currently working on new sensors able of operating up to 1300°C.

Microphones for listening and analysis in EMI/RFI environment

This EMC measures the amplitude of an electronic device or system, to operate in its electromagnetic environment satisfactorily, without producing itself disturbing electromagnetic bothersome.

Sensors for the geophysical and offshore industry

For pressure measurement, monitoring pipelines over long distances.

Microphones for the radioactive environment


Microphones allow for 7/7 and 24-hour monitoring of noise in a radioactive environment with high electromagnetic disturbances. So this new approach has only advantages:

- Specific optical fiber able of withstanding high temperatures and nuclear radiation in the long term.

- Hydrophone for great depths: to allow listening 24h/24 and 7d/7 at sea level (at about 4km depth).

Key benefits: Today it is impossible for a standard hydrophone to go down to more than one kilometer of background, and in theses conditions several replicators are needed to amplify the signal, the system can not be connected to the coast directly...
